‘Japan Matters’ lectures

As part of its activities, Japan Desk Scotland organises the Japan Matters public lecture series to create a forum on Japan for people in Glasgow and beyond.

The  lecture is free and open to the public.

In 2012/13, six Japan Matters  events were organised in cooperation with Glasgow Museums and with grant from the Great Britain Sasakawa Foundation.

In 2013/14, seven Japan Matters events were organised with grant from the Great Britain Sasakawa Foundation.

In 2014/15, six Japan Matters events were organised mostly around the theme of Fukushima nuclear accident and environmental radiation issues in Fukushima Prefecture, with grant from the Great Britain Sasakawa Foundation.

In 2015/16, two Japan Matters events were organised, with grant from the Great Britain Sasakawa Foundation.

In 2016/17, one Japan Matters event was organised, with grant from the Great Britain Sasakawa Foundation.
